L J Fortier is a songwriting, musician / vocalist from northeast Ohio.
He performed with Warren-Youngstown area bands such as The Phantoms, The Difference Between and Freeman Sound in the mid '60s and early '70s, and between later band involvements since the mid '70s, as a guitar and harmonica playing soloist with his "Oldies & Blues Show".
He offers his own, independently produced CDs of full band format productions of his own songs as well as vintage recordings of Freeman Sound, one of the "Holy Grails" of NE Ohio's local rock band history.
His "Ideas & Artistry" is mostly about his efforts to record and promote the songs he's written throughout his lifetime, but it's also about other types of personal expression, such as blogging about his experiences as a musician, the truth of matters, poetry and visual arts.
L J still seriously regards the best sincere aspects of the spirit of the '50s and '60s in the good old U.S. of A., and has made an honest effort to apply logic and God's wisdom so as to righteously conclude how things really are and ought to be on the face of the earth.
